Evelyn Rojas-Garcia started Mija in April 2021. Rojas-Garcia was planning a bachelorette party, which gave her the idea of starting her own business in event decor. She loved the idea of being able to hold gatherings and bringing people together. Mija has also allowed her to be more creative than her original carrier plan of becoming a dental hygienist. Rojas-Garcia stated that starting her own business has been liberating and given her more confidence. Her goal is to expand into event planning, production designing, and weddings. Rojas-Garcia is grateful for all the support and interactions that this opportunity has given her.
